Interviewing Project Zearth member Definitely a Human!
Definitely a Human is one of Project Zearth’s dedicated builders, bringing ambition and a love for large-scale design to the world. With a strong appreciation for art deco and a passion for grand exteriors like skyscrapers and stadiums, they continue to push their skills—especially through challenging builds such as the Prixton Stadium. As they grow alongside the project and explore new styles, their work helps make Zearth feel increasingly complete and alive.
1) Where are you from and how old are you?
I’m from the US and I’m 18 years old as of writing this.
2) How did you first discover Minecraft, and what drew you to it?
I started playing Minecraft when I was in kindergarten so it was honestly too long ago to remember why or how.
3) How did you become a builder for Project Zearth, and what motivated you to join?
I became a member by submitting an application and joining the Discord server. I was motivated by a desire to contribute to a bigger project instead of just working by myself.
4) Can you share a memorable or challenging experience you’ve had while working on Project Zearth?
Building interiors has never been my best skill so it’s been really nice to see myself improve over time. Also, my biggest project I think has been the Prixton stadium, so that’s been challenging but I’ve also had a lot of fun so far (it’s not done after like 1/3 of a year b/c I have horrible time management skills).
5) What architectural styles, themes, or projects do you find most inspiring and enjoy working on?
I’ve always had an appreciation for art deco, but I love to try building with other architecture styles. I enjoy building exteriors, especially big buildings like skyscrapers.
6) How do you collaborate and connect with other builders within the Project Zearth community? Admittedly, I don’t think I’ve collaborated with the other builders too much, but I’ve had a lot of fun when I get to work with others on a project. I think my favorite collaboration was the catacombs since it ended up being weird and chaotic in a really fun way.
7) What’s your favorite thing to do in Minecraft outside of building?
I don’t do much outside of building, but sometimes I make villagers and iron golems fight zombies when I’m bored. I also play survival occasionally, but only a few times a year to be honest.
8) What is your favorite accomplishment or proudest moment during your time on Project Zearth?
I’d say my favorite accomplishment is that no matter how big or small a project I work on is, they all contribute to making to v.15 feeling more complete and lived in.
9) How has your experience on Project Zearth influenced your real-world creativity, if at all?
I’ve been studying to go to architecture school so building on Project Zearth has been really helpful in motivating me to try out new designs and styles.
10) Looking ahead, are there any new Minecraft features, updates, or directions you’re excited to explore?
I only really play Minecraft to build stuff so I’m excited to see what new building blocks get added in future updates. Since the server is a few versions behind the current update, I can’t wait to start building with mangrove wood and polished tuff when those get added.
11) Outside of Minecraft, what are your hobbies and interests? Do they influence your building style in any way?
I like playing Animal Crossing, reading comics (especially One Piece and The Walking Dead), taking photos, and listening to old music (like 1960s and earlier). I also enjoy learning about architecture and geography, and I hope to become an architect after college.

Thank you Definitely a Human!
