Interviewing Project Zearth member Peiceawrk!
Peiceawrk is one of our newest team member this year and we have had the pleasure of having him with us. He has been evolving quickly in his skills and brought a lot to Project Zearth already. He is also one of our youngest members. We are very happy having him with his and today we would like to share our interview with him!
1) Where are you from and how old are you?
I’m from michigan and i’m 14 years old.
2) How did you first discover Minecraft, and what drew you to it?
I think the first time i saw minecraft was when my older sibling was playing it on their computer back when i was 4 years old or something. for some reason i loved the rabbits and wanted to spawn like a billion of them in my siblings world, and it just kind of stuck i guess!
3) How did you become a builder for Project Zearth, and what motivated you to join?
Back when v13 was still a pretty new update, i first discovered pz and i really liked the way the map just aimed to feel like something minecraft characters would build, rather than trying to be some realistic city map.
4) Can you share a memorable or challenging experience you’ve had while working on Project Zearth?
I don’t know if i could name a single memorable experience just because there’s been so many. it’s just a chill building community which is basically what i’ve been looking for for a long time.
5) What architectural styles, themes, or projects do you find most inspiring and enjoy working on?
I love working on modern city buildings like skyscrapers, but i also really enjoy making smaller builds more focused on details.
6) How do you collaborate and connect with other builders within the Project Zearth community? Could you share a successful collaboration story?
I’ve been working with a couple others on a small town in neon, and we’ve had a couple of times where we’ve just all gotten online and built together. it’s already satisfying when you complete projects yourself, but i feel like working with others to build the town just feels even better.
7) What’s your favorite thing to do in Minecraft outside of building?
To be completely honest, i rarely do anything outside of building in minecraft. i’d probably have to say playing minigames with friends is my favorite thing to do in minecraft otherwise, though.
8) What is your favorite accomplishment or proudest moment during your time on Project Zearth?
I’d probably just have to say getting the opportunity to improve my building skills in minecraft. since i first joined i’ve been constantly getting great feedback on my builds and it’s really helped me become a better builder. i hope i’ll be able to give the same feedback to future members of the server!
9) How has your experience on Project Zearth influenced your real-world creativity, if at all?
I’ve definitely drawn a lot of building techniques from pz that can be seen in my own maps.
10) Looking ahead, are there any new Minecraft features, updates, or directions you’re excited to explore?
Minecraft 1.20 and onward seem like really great updates i’d love to try more, but for now i’m mostly content with playing on 1.19 and 1.18.
11) Outside of Minecraft, what are your hobbies and interests? Do they influence your building style in any way?
I have a lot of other things i like to do, but some major things are that i play a lot of geometry dash and i’ve been learning japanese for a little while now. i also like drawing cities and i’ve even made an entire world around some of them.
Thank you Peic!
